Jackson revealed in the introduction to the recording that he chose to lend his voice to the book because it reminds him of his own dealings with his children when they were younger.
"I was anxious to do the audio read of this book because my agent has twins and he gave me the book," Jackson said. "I read it and I fell out laughing. I remember all the times I did read to my daughter when she was that age... I did say, 'Go the f**k to sleep' to her a lot."
The Snakes on a Plane star's reading of the Adam Mansbach book can be downloaded for free at Audible.
The Star Wars actor is currently shooting The Avengers. Co-star Stellan Skarsgård recently praised Jackson, stating that he enjoyed filming with the 62-year-old.
Jackson is expected to join Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained following The Avengers.
