The Playboy model spoke to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show this morning about why she called off her Saturday nuptials, admitting that she did not feel getting married was the right thing to do.
"I called it off because I didn't think it was the right thing for me to do," Harris said. "It was mutual between Hef and I, there was no fight, we sat down and we talked about it."
Harris continued: "For a while I've been having second thoughts about everything. I haven't really been at peace with myself lately. I didn't think it was really fair to him... They were gonna air a show on it. It was all happening too fast for me."
Harris went on to state that Hefner never wanted to get married in the first place.
"He said he was just doing this wedding for me, he thought that's what I wanted," Harris said. "We're both relieved."
It was first reported yesterday that Harris's wedding to the 85-year-old mogul had been cancelled.
Reports indicated that Harris had cheated on Hefner, but the model's manager denied the rumours, calling them a "complete fabrication".
Hefner lamented his split from Harris via Twitter, calling it a "heartbreaker".

probably found out he wasnt going to die anytime soon.

Ultimately one can only wonder what the real dynamics at play are and why this story even resonates had it not been for the fact that the starring characters involve an octogenerian looking for his last hurrah into the sunset and that of a young woman who suddenly saw past the shiny lights and confetti.
