Rooney prostitute 'slept with world famous star'

An unnamed, "world famous" actor cheated on his wife with prostitute Helen Wood, who was at the centre of Wayne Rooney's sex scandal last year, it has been revealed.

Yesterday, a High Court amended the details of a court order which bans the identity of the actor being revealed.

While the gagging order continues to be in place regarding the personal details of the star, who is said to have cheated on his wife with the 23-year-old escort, Mr Justice King allowed Wood to be named and the details of her claims to be reported.

The judge described the married father as "a world famous celebrity" in the ruling, although he is known only as NEJ in court documents.

Wood apparently slept with the actor two years ago and had consulted a tabloid publication about revealing the details of the tryst. However, the actor was granted a temporary injunction on Saturday (April 9).

Representing Wood, Richard Spearman QC argued that she should be allowed to reveal the nature of her relationship with the star.

Wood shot to notoriety last year when it was reported that she and another prostitute, Jennifer Thompson, had a threesome with Rooney while the England and Manchester United striker's wife Coleen was heavily pregnant.

Following the revelations, the couple appeared to split temporarily, but have since reconciled.
