Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem welcome baby

Penelope Cruz has given birth to her first child with husband Javier Bardem.

The couple, who got married last July, welcomed the baby at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Tuesday, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais.

The child's gender and name have not yet been disclosed.

The pair are notoriously private about their personal life. Bardem previously declared that he was "very happy" about Cruz's pregnancy but refused to elaborate.
