Broadway debut for Cindy Lauper

Pop star Cindi Lauper is to make her Broadway debut in a new production of The Threepenny Opera.

Lauper, most famous for her hit True Colours, will play Jenny in the 1933 musical, which features the number Mack the Knife.

The show is set to open April 20th with previews from March 24th, and also stars Alan Cumming, Ana Gasteyer, Jim Dale and Nellie McKay.
