Tyson Gay's unfortunate hamstring injury ruled him out of the medals at Beijing in 2008.Let's hope he stays fit and healthy for London 2012, as he tries to reprise his golden performance from the 2007 World Championships.

The second-fastest man in the history of the world, he'll be hoping to bolt (ahem) past his obvious rival and win gold for the US in the 100 metres.
Stripping off to cool down in the Birmingham sun, he's fine-tuning before the marquee event at this year's Olympics.

Gay claims to be "about two or three workouts from being perfect", and he's not making any excuses.
"I'm healthy... The start's good. The hip's good. So whatever happens, happens." That's the spirit!

This year's Olympics features some of the fastest men who have ever walked this earth, so the 100 metre final on August 5 could be a cracker.
Gay routinely beats off his athletic competitors and finishes in less than ten seconds, which we're told is a good thing when it comes to sprinting.

Best of luck, Tyson.
