Cookie Monster spoofs Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' - video

The Cookie Monster has become the latest star to provide a cover of Carly Rae Jepsen's mega worldwide hit 'Call Me Maybe'.

The Sesame Street character sings about the love of his favourite food snack in the video clip 'Share it Maybe'.



Lyrics include: "Hey, me just met you, and this is crazy. But you got cookie! So share it maybe?"

The loveable puppet can't believe his luck when a fellow office worker leaves a bowl of cookies in the kitchen.

After many requests to share the biscuits, he scoffs several before doing the unexpected act of offering his last one to the viewer.

The video was uploaded to the official Sesame Street YouTube page earlier today (July 10).

'Call Me Maybe' has seen various parodies and covers in recent months, including a US politician dancing to it and 'Chocolate Rain' star Tay Zonday performing his own take.

The track has reached number one on both sides of the Atlantic, and has become one of the bestselling singles of 2012 worldwide.
