'Do aliens exist?' is Britons' most popular scientific question

54%, from a total of 2,000 polled, expressed interest in finding out if humans are alone in the universe.
It beat out 'Will there ever be a cure for cancer?' which 46% said that they would like to know the answer to.
'Does God exist?', 'How big is space?' and 'How and where did life start on Earth?' round off the top five.
The poll marked the launch of Science Month, a new series airing on Eden.
Below is the top ten in full:
1. Are we alone in the universe? - 54%
2. Will there ever be a cure for cancer? - 46%
3. Does God exist? - 39%
4. How big is space? - 33%
5. How and where did life start on Earth? - 30%
6. Is time travel possible? - 29%
7. Will we ever colonise space? - 27%
8. What will replace oil and when? - 27%
9. How will the universe end? - 24%
10. How long can the human lifespan be extended? - 20%

The big crunch is followed by a Big Bang ending the universe and creating a new one, this is called the big bounce

1.No we are not alone in the universe. But we might be the only Intelligent life
other life may be in a germ form
2.No drug companies make too much money with cancer treatment

4 & 9 = You contradicted yourself. Fact: If the Universe existed after the big bang then when it ends it will be a big crunch due to gravity turning the tides. How you managed to contradict yourself is by saying the Universe (space) is endless i.e. infinite, when it is actually finite due to the big bang which will one day start to retract, right now dark energy is winning and accelerating all of space, but one day gravity will get its hold and pull everything back.

Aliens are an absolute certainty imo. some people just cant handle the idea though but they cant be judged for that

I'm not surprised more people think about whether Aliens exist than whether God exists because Aliens are far more likely.
