Couple divorce after wife brings 550 cats home

A man from Israel has divorced his wife because she refused to get rid of the 550 cats that she brought back to their home.

According to the Times of Israel, the man's wife refused to part with her pets despite the fact that it was making her husband unhappy.

The man from the town of Beersheba told the court that the great amount of cats in his house was stopping him from doing normal, everyday life activities.

He was prevented from accessing his own bathroom as the cats got in the way, he could not prepare food in the kitchen without the cats eating it and he could not get a good night's sleep because the cats refused to move from the bed.

The couple attempted to settle their differences at the Rabbinical Court, but the man's wife decided to keep her cats rather than save their marriage.
