Dog owners in the capital are being asked to place bags containing their pet's business into designated box, and are being rewarded with tokens for internet access at public hotspots.
Mexican internet portal Terra and ad agency DDB joined forces to launch the trial, which rewards users with more minutes for providing heavier deposits.
The boxes are manned by a team of hostesses, on hand to provide waste bags and weigh those that have been returned. Members of the public can also submit litter in exchange for their tokens.
Terra and DDB's scheme aims to clean up the local area and provide more public Wi-Fi to a larger number of people.
