Speaking to Metro, Harborne said that when he found the Cadillac that he used, "it was a complete wreck as it had been abandoned".
The movie buff said that he hopes that if a third film is ever made, he would like them to use his car.
Harborne's renovations were extensive, as he crafted the interiors from hand.
On the outside, the ghost-fighting vehicle has scrolling LED lights that spell out "Ghostbusters - We're back!" as well as speakers to hear the film playing on the DVD players inside.
Harborne added: "I've set up an iPod so that there are also genuine sirens and sounds coming from the car."
Previously, he made a version of the A-Team van from the 1983 television series.

I've just seen a photo of it. If he wants to hire it out for a potential third movie, then he needs to get rid of the Ghostbusters II logo that he has on there.
