Drunk driver calls 911 to turn himself in

A man who was drink driving has turned himself in to police in Merrill, Wisconsin.

The unidentified 21-year-old dialled 911 at approximately 9pm on Sunday (November 20), admitting that he was intoxicated.

After telling the dispatcher that he should be held in jail, he was advised to pull over, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department.

The man was then taken into police custody when officers arrived and he was determined to be too drunk to drive.
