'Back to the Future' 2011 Nike MAG shoes up for auction - pictures, video

Nike has unveiled the self-lacing trainers invented in Back to the Future Part II.A limited number of shoes teased by the company yesterday have been put up for auction to raise money for charity.

A total of 1,500 pairs of the 2011 Nike MAG shoes will be sold via eBay, a new video confirmed.
The two-minute clip starring Kevin Durant, Bill Hader, Tinker Hatfield, Donald Fullilove and Christopher Lloyd as Doc Emmett Brown confirmed that proceeds from the sale would be donated to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
The shoes are available in sizes 7-13 and eBayers can bid now for the footwear.
Every day until the auction ends on September 18, 150 pairs of the 2011 Nike MAG trainers will be put on the eBay Fashion Vault. All donations will be matched through a previous $50 million sum given to the foundation.

Elizabeth Roxanne-Carrington Cooper why go to the cost of a full production run for a trainer that will appeal to fans of the movies and sell it for 100 quid when they can make as much money selling 150 pairs for loads and calling them a limited edition. Just because you are poor does not mean the rich cant buy stuff you can not afford.

The short/advert is the newest bit of back to the future available, I want a full film! there is tons they can do with the series.
