Gym Class Heroes ft. Ryan Tedder: 'The Fighter' - Single review

We're not normally ones to judge on appearances, but there's something about the way Travie McCoy and his Gym Class clan carry themselves that suggests they're not the most organised of rap packs. How wrong we were though, because despite releasing their latest album The Papercut Chronicles II last November, they had the forethought to include an Olympic-friendly cut.

"If I can last 30 rounds/ There's no reason you should ever have your head down," McCoy insists over pulsing beats and twinkly piano courtesy of Ryan Tedder, who urges the aspiring boxer to "give them hell, turn their heads" on the stadium-filling chorus. The production may be a 101 on radio-friendly rap for 2012, but it's far from the cheesiest sports song you'll hear this year.
