Stooshe ft. Travie McCoy: 'Love Me' - Single review

With a rampant brass section, ironic ad-libbing and promiscuous lyrics ("You know I don't do c**k"), it's clear from the off that Stooshe are no ordinary girl group. "Milky Bar kid got me melting sugar with that geek chic all the way," Karis purrs with sweet and sultry prowess, bursting with enough innuendo to make even Cupid blush. The result is a breath of fresh air that, in many ways, echos the cheeky nature of the Spice Girls and the sassy vocals of En Vogue - and the industry couldn't need it more.

Good song, I like that they're unapologetic and don't take things too seriously.
P.S. the "Milky bar kid" lyric was purred by Karis ;).

Sadly, I expected a Little Mix vs Stooshe thing to go on here. Stooshe's arrival is kinda awkward - they released songs before Little Mix were even formed, but Little Mix are the bigger names at the moment because of X Factor. It's possible that they may struggle to co-exist, but hopefully not. Saying that, this is a fantastic single.

StooShe are everything Little Mix can no longer be, having appeared on X-Factor. They not only sing well (see their cover of Emeli Sande's 'Daddy'), but can also rap, get a bit of tongue 'n' cheek going in their songs and have international star Travie McCoy featuring on their debut single. Hope to see them dominating the charts in 2012 - looking forward to their album.

No. Little Mix are much better. Stooshe are too controversial. Little mix, in contrast, are wholesome and better singers. Little Mix forever, StooShe never (even though i'm 17)
