T-Pain ft. Wiz Khalifa & Lily Allen: '5 O'Clock' - Single review

Any savvy artist knows that when the chips are down, sampling a familiar song is often a sure bet to boost them into to the upper echelons of the charts. It's a situation T-Pain knows all-too-well (he's failed to ever crack the top 30 in the UK), but credit where it's due, there are a lot worse songs he could have pilfered the hook from than a Lily Allen number.

"It's 5 O'Clock in the morning/ I want you, and you want me," he brags on his way back from a night with the lads, leaving Lils to play the role of a nagging (and somewhat pathetic) girlfriend. "Something coming up on me/ And I know you be getting so horny," he continues, his roboticised vocals sounding more processed than a cheese string. The upside? If it forces Lily out of retirement for a rebuttal, it'll all have been worth it.
