Lupe Fiasco: 'The Show Goes On'

It's perhaps the campest saying in this business we call show, but that hasn't stopped an array of well 'ard artists including Nirvana, Pink Floyd and (ahem) Queen from making a credible tune out of it. Now's the turn of Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco
, who, after a series of false starts with his latest LP, is out to prove that these issues don't bother him at all.
"Have you ever had the feeling that you was being had?" he asks over a combo of palpitating beats and echoing rock guitars as he contemplates shaking off 'dem haters and reaching for the stars. It's all-too-familiar subject matter for today's rhymesmiths, but as soon as 'Show' reaches its Modest Mouse-sampling chorus - horny, hooky and hip-hoppy all at the same time - you'll surely find it in your heart to forgive him.> Click here to watch 'The Show Goes On' video
