A clip of Adele's James Bond theme 'Skyfall' has surfaced online. The singer confirmed earlier today (October 1) that the song - the soundtrack to the 23rd Bond film of the same name - will premiere in full at 00.07am (UK time) on Friday, October 5.
The track was written by Adele with producer Paul Epworth and is available to pre-order now on iTunes.
Lyrics of the song include: "Let the sky fall/ When it crumbles/ We will stand tall/ And face it all together."
Adele said: "I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for Skyfall."

"There's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song. But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no brainer to do it in the end."
She added: "It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I've never done which made it exciting. When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life.
"I'll be back combing my hair when I'm 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day I'm sure."
OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder previously called the theme the "best Bond song in my lifetime" and said that it should win an Oscar.

Miles Miles better than the last one. That was just terrible. Looking forward to hearing the full version.

So apparently ripping off the same theme for 50 years is not lazy.

No, it's not. It links the film theme tunes to the iconic Bond theme. John Barry used to purposely do it (Thunderball is a great example), and they're also in Goldeneye and in "You know my name" from Casino Royale.

Goldfinger, Thunderball, Goldeneye, Casino Royale all made use of the instantly recognisable Bond chord progression There are probably more themes that used it but these are the ones that came to mind. Adele's version uses them in a more obvious way, but there is nothing wrong with that. After some of the more recent dreadful themes (Quantum of Solace and Die Another Day spring to mind), this theme is quite frankly a gift! As I said in an earlier post, I love the theme, its structure and its instrumentation, but I do not like the quite bizarre way Adele uses her voice. Her pronouciation of some of the lyrics is awful and ruins what is a really good song.
Whoever wrote the orchestration for Michael Buble's version of "Cry Me A River" should do the next Bond theme. Whenever I hear the introduction to it, it feels like the start of an amazing Bond theme.

Michael Buble would be an awesome choice to do a Bond Theme.

I think Adam Lambert should have done the Bond theme.

I still think Bjork and Massive Attack should collaborate and do a Bond theme. They would smash it.
