Mariah Carey announces new single 'Triumphant'

Mariah Carey has officially announced details of her new single.'Triumphant (Get 'Em)' will be released at the beginning of August and features Rick Ross and Meek Mill.

"I wrote TRIUMPHANT when I was going through a difficult time & it helped me get through it. When u hear it, pay attention 2 the lyrics #WIN (sic)," she tweeted.
It's the first new material from Carey since 2009's Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.
Meanwhile, the 'Touch My Body' star is close to finalising a deal to become a judge on American Idol, Deadline reports.
Carey, whose husband recently joked that she would be too expensive for Idol producers, is said to have negotiated a deal worth $17 million.
She has been linked with the show for some time after previously being considered for The X Factor USA.

I know Mariah has used rappers for a long time - I just wish she wasn't using TWO (relatively unknown) rappers on her come back single. I hope it's good never the less and can't wait to hear the new sound!

I agree about Meek Mill, but Rick Ross is NOT relatively unknown!?

The first time I heard him was on Monster by Kanye West. He's never had a Billboard Top 10 hit, so either nobody know who he is, or everybody think he's crap

oh my i cant wait!!! i hope the album features less influence from hip hop artists. also heard she was back with randy jackson who has produced some of her earlier albums and is also persuading her to join idol. lets go mariah!!!
