La Roux working with Nile Rodgers on new album

La Roux are working with Nile Rodgers on their upcoming second studio album.

The Chic musician and producer revealed that he has fallen "in love" with the British electro duo, who have been working on the follow-up to their 2009 self-titled debut.



"I totally fell in love with La Roux, it was just insane," he told the Daily Star.

"I only work with people who are monsters, and I was impressed with how organic and cool Elly was.

"She's the person that's in my cross-hairs right now."

Elly Jackson said back in January that their new album will be "sexier" and "cheekier". It was originally expected to be released by May.

Chic and Nile Rodgers will perform at this year's Vintage Festival in Northamptonshire this weekend.
