Florence + the Machine on course to claim first UK No.1 single

Florence + the Machine is on course to claim her first UK number one single.The Florence Welch-fronted act have topped the UK midweek chart update with a Calvin Harris remix of their single 'Spectrum'.
Maroon 5 slip to two with 'Payphone', while will.i.am is at three with 'This Is Love'.
Chris Brown slides a couple of places to four with 'Don't Wake Me Up' and Stooshe remain firm at five with 'Black Heart'.
Nicki Minaj is at 10 with 'Pound The Alarm' and Adam Lambert is just outside the Top 10 at 13 with 'Never Close Our Eyes'.
David Guetta vaults 200 places up to 23 with 'I Can Only Imagine', which features Chris Brown and Lil Wayne, while The Vaccines are on course to claim their highest charting single to date with 'No Hope' at 30.
Over on the album chart, Newton Faulkner lands at number one with new record Write It On Your Skin.

Brown's Fortune slips to five, Adam Lambert's Trespassing is at seven and Frank Ocean's channel ORANGE is heading for a Top 10 debut.

Calvin Harris only makes the first minute of 'Spectrum' more listenable than the original. After that his tinny piano plonking can **** off.

It's a shame she has never had a number one. She totally deserves it but I prefer the original over the Calvin Harris version. It's not like he did a great deal to it. Shame it took him working on it for her to get number 1

I didn't know she has never had a number one, that's shameful as her songs are great.
