However, Perry's film Part of Me failed to achieve similar success at the US box office, reaching number seven during its opening weekend with ticket sales of $7,150,000.
Meanwhile, the movie reached number four on the UK box office chart and number six in Australia.

she's a singles artist not an albums artist for sure.... her album barely sold 2 million in the US, that with the 6 number 1's and loads of promotion and special edition and 99 cent deal...
what's weird is that there are 200.000 people willing to get 'Wide awake' only for 1.29 $ and only 70.000 who are willing to get that song, and 16 other songs on top, for 99 cents !!!!

but considering most artist average less than tat 2M in this day and age when album sales are low is a rarity the only other artists to dot hat have been Adele, Gaga, and Taylor Swift, Beyonce who's lst album didn't even scrape 1M.

Franky Ramirez said `Paramount ain't too happy with the weekends results`. not really, the studio forecast for last weekend was $7,150,000 and the actual result was $7,138,266. the production budget was $12 million and the domestic total as of 10th july is $12,766,035. whatever has been reported the figures speak for themselves.

Hardly amazing, Wow they managed to break even ! A budget of $12 million and Gross of just over $12 million is not very good they hardly made anything !.....If paramount say they are not happy that speaks for itself.

No which is why i have a poster up of her in my room and own the album...I'm just sick of the whole teenage dream thing she isn't good live in terms of vocals and I'm just being honest to the fact her film didn't do greatly sorry if the truth hurts you x

where is the proof that paramount are not happy with the films performance though? yes, its hardly amazing, but the film is now in profit. not to mention the box office returns worldwide. the truth doesn't hurt, but there is not evidence to suggest paramount are happy in the first place.

I'm not a massive Katy fan and I am tired of the album campaign but are concert movies even expected to do soo well anyway - it's just something for the fans

i thought her film was just a documentary and so wouldn't be expected to make much at the cinema
