Katy Perry criticises outdated reality TV judges: 'It's hilarious'

Katy Perry has said that she finds it "hilarious" when reality TV shows hire outdated judges.The 'Part of Me' star, who served as a guest judge on The X Factor in 2010, insisted that singing competitions should have "current" mentors who can offer relevant advice.
Perry told The Hollywood Reporter: "People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved and I think that it's not right for me right now. I have ideas for two or three big, creative things and I want to be able to fulfil those ideas. And it's a real commitment to be on one of those shows.
"I'm not opposed to it. I think some of those shows are better than others. I like to give constructive criticism that hopefully people can apply and find valuable."
Perry continued: "I do find it completely hilarious when they hire people that are not current in music and haven't been for a decade or over. Or when they're not even in music.
"How are you going to give a perspective when you haven't even lived it?"
Perry previously revealed that she had turned down the chance to replace Kelly Rowland on The X Factor. Nicole Scherzinger joined the panel instead.

I completely agree! This will be the last series of The X Factor for the UK at least. It's tired, getting out-dated, over dramatised, and ITV rely on it way too heavily to pull in their audiences. The last few winners of the show just go to prove how quick their hype drops off.
