The new cut will serve as the official song of the London 2012 Olympic Games and will be played throughout all sports sessions during the entire competition.
Muse appeared at the official London 2012 press conference earlier today (June 27) to launch the Rock The Games music programme, which 'Survival' will lead.
"It's a huge honour to have the track chosen as such a major part of the London 2012 Olympic Games," said frontman Matt Bellamy.
"I wrote it with the Games in mind as it expresses a sense of conviction and determination to win."
Muse will release their sixth studio album The 2nd Law on September 17, with a world tour to follow from October.

WTF? WHY DO MUSE GET EVERYWHERE??!!
June 27th 2012 at 8:43pm
Because they're the best band that Britain has to offer? Amazing songs, great live show, fantastic musicianship, they are the complete rock band. And there are precious few of them around these days where medicrity is celebrated at every turn.
So don't try and fight it. They're just too good.
Join us.
