Will Loomis claims that track 'Bright Red Chords' by his band Loomis & the Lust was used without consent for her hit single 'Domino', reports Billboard.
"Mr Loomis never consented to the use of his song," his lawyer wrote in a statement.
"We look forward to obtaining an appropriate remedy from the court for this clear infringement."
The lawsuit is aimed at Jessie J and her record labels Universal Music Group, Lava Records and Universal Republic Records.
Loomis uploaded a video earlier this year that supposedly showed up similarities between the two songs.
Jessie J is currently working on her follow-up album to 2011's Who You Are. She recently said that she is hoping for duets with Beyoncé, Rihanna and Ed Sheeran.

Why would jessie j copy anyone, she wrote thousands of lyrics herself and tunes for other artists that made it to the top charts.

This song has been released months ago, why bring it up now I wonder?

I doubt they have a claim. It's sound similar but the music is not the same nor the lyrics. He sings it in a different key and it's not the same. Cheryl Coles bad boys track sounds like young by Tulsa but its not copywrite

Shouldn't Dr Luke be the one getting sued?

Why would Dr Luke be the one getting sued if his version was the one that was copied? No one can possibly doubt the similarities.

There's another video on Youtube of Loomis' song. It came out in 2009. Here it is- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE-sVIr_9kw&feature=relmfu. I think the verses kind of sound similar, but that's about it.
