Cheryl Cole scores fastest selling No.1 of 2012 with 'Call My Name'

Cheryl Cole has stormed to the top of this week's UK singles chart with 'Call My Name'.The track becomes the fastest selling number one of 2012 so far, with sales of 152,000. It beats the first week sales record of 128,000 set by DJ Fresh's 'Hot Right Now', and the 142,000 record set last week by Gary Barlow's 'Sing'.

'Call My Name' is Cole's third solo number one single, and continues her record of scoring chart-toppers with the lead single of each of her three studio albums.
Flo Rida is a non-mover at two with 'Whistle', while Barlow drops two places to three with 'Sing'.
Coldplay and Rihanna climb four spots to four with 'Princess of China', giving the band their seventh UK top five hit. Rudimental drop one place with 'Feel the Love' to complete the top five.
A 'fake' cover version of Maroon 5's 'Payphone' by Precision Tunes manages to claim a new entry at nine. The original version has already topped the iTunes chart since its midnight release today (June 17).

fun. drop to six with long-runner 'We Are Young', while DJ Fresh and Dizzee Rascal drop a place to seven with 'The Power'. Usher and Carly Rae Jepsen both drop three places to eight and ten respectively.
Emeli Sandé climbs a big 17 spots to 17 with her latest single 'My Kind of Love', while Avicii has a re-entry at 26 with 'Silhouettes'.
Trey Songz gets a new entry at 28 with 'Heart Attack', while Justin Bieber enters at 30 with new track 'As Long As You Love Me'.
Katy Perry's 'Wide Awake' enters at 31, and Kelly Clarkson sneaks in at 40 with 'Dark Side'.
The Voice UK finalist Tyler James manages to grab a number 39 entry with his cover of Steve Winwood's 'Higher Love', beating the show's winner Leanne Mitchell, who failed to reach the Top 40 last week.

There where no comments like this when rihanna hit number 1 with the Calvin Harris produced we found love! Scissor sisters came back with Calvins only the horses dizzee rascal had two hits holiday and dance wiv me kylies in my arms is by calvin! Yet Cheryl gets nothing but abuse! She's been out and promoted just like the rest! She's had success deal with it
