Alexandra Burke's new single shunned by Radio 1: "It's disappointing"

Alexandra Burke's new single has been shunned by the country's major national broadcasters.'Let It Go', the new single from album Heartbreak on Hold (released June 4), has not been playlisted by Radio 1 or Global Radio group.
Speaking to The Sun, Burke said: "Obviously it's disappointing. But what can I do? The main thing for me is I'm proud of my music and the fans all love what I'm doing.
"They have all been great. I'm no longer with Simon Cowell's label - perhaps this says it all."
Burke was praised and personally name-checked by soul legend Dionne Warwick at last week's Glamour awards, and holds the European record for most singles sold in one day with her debut X Factor record 'Hallelujah' in 2008.
The 23-year-old singer recently split from footballer boyfriend Jermain Defoe after he was allegedly unfaithful for a second time.

madonna's new material is brilliant but radio 1, global and the tv music channels has stopped playing her, ok she is 53yrs old but if i was given a choice, i still would, her new songs are as good as what is being playlisted eg, david guetta, jessie j, cheryl cole, calvin harris, to be in the business 30 yrs, have 13 no one singles, 70+ consecutive top 40 hits does not desrve this treatement, me thinks it has to be the record company tbh, madonna changed from warners to interscope......however this does not explain the similar treatement of kylies last few singles, eg timebomb, put your hands up, better than today, britneys singles i wanna go, and the feelings last cd and singe -set my world on fire as well as alexandra burke - its totally unjust and criminal in my opinion

I loved her first album and i love this one too. She has a fantastic voice and seems a lovely lady.

Bloody amazing tune and video - nuts that this isn't getting played. Should've been a huge hit.

maybe Burke should redo her image and start aiming for a different audience.
the music she is producing is short lived dance music which does not have much shelf life.
its time to go up a level.

Very much agreed. I enjoyed her 1st album but this is just underwhelming generic dance music.
