Garbage star Shirley Manson stops concert to reprimand fan

Shirley Manson halted a New Jersey show to reprimand a fan in the audience on Saturday (May 26).

The Garbage frontwoman stopped singing 'Stupid Girl' when she saw a man hit a woman in the crowd at the sold out House of Blues show.

According to WENN, Manson yelled: "Get the f**k off her right now... Dude, never hit a f**king woman. What the f**k is wrong with you, man?"

Manson then told the male fan to leave the concert, saying: "You've got to leave, man. You can't f**king fight, man... It's the rules, man."

After the man was removed, Manson attempted to calm showgoers.

She added: "I just think we all just need to simmer down... I think there's some bad karma in this room."

Garbage are currently on tour promoting their latest album Not Your Kind of People.
