Beyoncé paid tribute to Whitney Houston and Donna Summer last night. The singer was performing at the multi-billion dollar Revel Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, marking her first live show since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January.
Beyoncé sang a stripped back version of Houston's 'I Will Always Love You' before transitioning into her own hit 'Halo'.
She paid tribute to Summer during 'Naughty Girl', which samples the disco star's 'Love to Love You Baby'.
Houston passed away in February, while Summer died on May 17 following a battle with lung cancer.
The Atlantic City show was the first of three consecutive gigs at the resort over Memorial Day weekend, featuring support from Def Jam singer Luke James.
Beyoncé also performed some Destiny's Child classics and changed outfit five times during the two-hour set, Rap Up reports.
She covered Lauryn Hill's 'Ex-Factor' and closed the show with 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)'.
"I'm trying to become Sasha Fierce again," the 30-year-old said during rehearsals. "She's dead, but I need to bring her back to life."

Ok, so how come Beyonce can have a long gap between her 4 promo tour, have a child/become a mother, and then come back and do performances like these? Truly truly fantastic...and Donna Summer is one of my favourtie artists and Bey did it justice, and the Whitney tribute here is very touching....Bey really brought the old skool to the nu-skool here! Class!
