Nicki Minaj reaches out to 'sacked' Tim Westwood: 'He's a superstar'

Nicki Minaj has reached out to Tim Westwood after he was dropped from his Radio 1Xtra Drivetime slot.The singer and rapper showed her surprise about the radio DJ being "sacked" on her official Twitter page.

She said: "Ur kidding right? Wtf?", before sending him the message: "dm ur nmbr. U need to come to the States! Ur a f**king gold mine. No one in their right mind fired u."
The star later added: "Noooooooooooooo Tim Westwood is such a big part of my UK experience!!!!! He's a f**king superstar!!!! Best interviews hands down!!!! Wtf?!?!"
Westwood will continue to present his Saturday night show simulcast on Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra, as well as fronting a new Sunday evening programme between 7pm and 9pm.

i cant stand his voice or his show that comes on sky367 flava channel.im not black but i find him so offensive on behalf of the black community.its like hes desperately trying2be black but u dont have2be of a certain colour or race2talk abt rap or be a dj that specialises in the rap genre.i think hes such a cliche & everytime i hear his annoying stereotyplcal 'black' accent that he puts on i just wanna punch him repeatedly until he promises2talk normally.

Yes he is a bit (a lot) of a dumbass but u cannot deny the massive influence he has had on bringing hip hop to a mainstream audience in the UK. He has worked at Kiss 100, Capital AND Radio 1 (where he's one of the longest serving DJs) so its a bit of a shame they had to let him go.

He really should go to America, everyone's an annoying loud mouth over there and he'd fit right in. I'm really not taking the piss, he's just too annoying for people in the UK...

Westwood is truely truely awful. I worked back stage at a hip hop fest and when Westwood was mentioned they tore him to shreds. Some people actually find him offensive. I just hope he doesnt turn up somewhere else
