Matt Cardle's concert at Boston Town Football Club has been put in doubt. The singer was refused a licence by Lincolnshire authorities to perform at an event in the county on May 26 which could now be cancelled.

The decision was made after Boston Borough Council's licensing sub-committee decided there were "serious concerns regarding public safety" after a five-hour meeting, reports the Boston Standard.
Event organiser and town chairman Mick Vines has 21 days to appeal against the decision, but the show is due to take place in eight days' time.
"We are currently looking at two alternative venues in the Boston area," Vines said. "So I would ask people not to panic until tomorrow night as we have until then to get a venue.
"But if we don't, it will have to be cancelled."
Matt Cardle is booked to play a number of music events this summer including the NXNE Festival in Toronto, the Isle of Wight Festival and The M Fest in Leeds.

Rumor has it that because of the extent of the Olympics security, Boston Council couldn't acquire enough water cannons, riot shields or tear-gas canisters for controlling the 12-strong crowd of Cardle worshippers! They are now looking at alternative arrangements of venue, with the back of Homebase, near the skips, being one promising location.
