Nas confirmed for Radio 1's Hackney Weekend

Nas is the latest act to be confirmed for next month's Radio 1 Hackney Weekend event.

The hip-hop star will headline the 1Xtra stage at the two-day event at London's Hackney Marshes on Sunday, June 24.

Jay-Z and Rihanna will headline the main stage over the weekend, with Kasabian, Florence + the Machine, Jessie J, Ed Sheeran and Tinie Tempah all performing.

Leona Lewis, Plan B, Chase & Status, Wretch 32, will.i.am, The Maccabees, Flo Rida, Calvin Harris, Lana Del Rey, Azealia Banks and Enter Shikari are among the acts confirmed to play.

Radio 1's Hackney Weekend is the biggest free tickets event the station has ever organised, with 100,000 music lovers expected to attend across the two days.

Over 100 UK and international artists will perform across six BBC stages during the music event.
