Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend' breaks Vevo record for single-day views

Justin Bieber has broken yet another YouTube record.The popstar's new video for the single 'Boyfriend' attracted over 8 million views in 24 hours on Vevo.
The previous record, which was held by Rihanna's 'Where Have You Been' video, was set just last week.
As of today (Sunday, May 6), the video for 'Boyfriend' had racked up over 12m views.
Bieber has set a number of YouTube records, including becoming the first person to top 2 billion YouTube views.
The 18-year-old will release his new album Believe on June 19.
