Carly Rae Jepson's 'Call Me Maybe' holds UK No. 1 for third week

Carly Rae Jepsen is celebrating a third week at the top of the UK singles chart with her single 'Call Me Maybe'.The Canadian songstress continued to dominate the Top 40, fighting off challenges from Conor Maynard, John Legend and B.o.B. to stay top for another week.

Maynard debuted at number two in the Official Singles Chart with his single 'Can't Say No', making the 19-year-old this week's highest new entry.
John Legend, who returned to the charts with 'Ordinary People' last week thanks to a performance by Jaz Ellington on The Voice, saw his single jump from number 27 to number four - its highest ever chart position.
Another top climber came from Jessie J ft. David Guetta, as their track 'LaserLight' shot up 21 places to number five.

B.o.B., meanwhile, entered the chart at number seven with his latest track 'So Good'.
As Jepsen continued to fly high in the chart, the teenager's label boss Justin Bieber fell from number two to number ten with his latest release 'Boyfriend'.
Nicki Minaj, Gotye and Sean Paul all continue to hold on in the top ten, each falling three places.
Elsewhere in the chart, Linkin Park return with 'Burn It Down' at number 27, and San Francisco band Train entered the Top 40 at number 14 with 'Drive'.

Although in the last 7 years a British act has had the top selling album of the year and a substantial place in the singles top ten too so yeah not sure what your on about American acts have always had a large place in the UK music market.

Absolute rubbish! Marina is far better than anything in the top 10.. Hopefully her album will push sales a bit more.
