The singer revealed the clip for her new single 'Bad Girls' last month, which featured Arabic women drag racing and MIA participating in a session of drifting.
Talking about the reason behind using Arabic women performing car stunts in her latest video, MIA explained: "That inspiration comes from... once I saw an image of an Iranian chick driving a truck.
"She was wearing this crazy outfit and loads of gold and amazing nails and was super feminine. But she was all covered up and she was a trucker."
The star goes on to reveal that she was first interested in using drifting - the act of driving a car on two wheels - after seeing clips of Arabic men doing it on YouTube.
MIA's 'Bad Girls' is available to download now.
The track will be included on the singer's upcoming fourth studio album, which is expected to be released later this year.

Love the behind the scenes look at an Arab country.
These kids are just like our kids these men are just like our men.
The powers that that be would have you belive that its a country of violence and hatred agression and turmoil... clearly here you see men and women celebrating having fun in their element. Being fans and excited for good music... ALLAH AKBAR!
