"I'm not sure how well they're actually doing yet," George said of One Direction's Stateside success. "They're more faces, if you know what I mean.
"I don't think people really look at us over there as the same kind of band because I think people look at them more like a Jonas Brothers sort of band that are very TV and children's magazine-based."
He continued: "They make magazines instead of actually hearing them on the radio.
"I think our audience over there is sort of 18 to 25 or 30. We have a lot of radio play but I think we're more of a music band."
Of The Wanted's relationship with their boyband rivals, George added: "We don't talk. The X Factor

"They're very close, you know, all the X Factor
contestants, and they kind of stay in that one circle normally."
Last summer, George said that he was glad his band were not formed on The X Factor
, adding: "One Direction, where are they now?"
Asked about The Wanted's supposed rivalry with One Direction, Jay McGuiness recently told Digital Spy
: "We're really, really happy for them. They're nothing like us so there is no rivalry!
"They own that whole Bieber-style mania, and they all look perfect - we could never do that. We both have our place, and you can't help but wish guys that you genuinely like all the best."> One Direction named 'Worst Band' at NME Awards> One Direction: 'Next album will have more guitars and be grungier'
