Matt Cardle wants Coldplay collaboration: 'Chris Martin's a genius'

Matt Cardle has revealed that he would love to collaborate with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

The X Factor champion named Martin as his dream collaboration, but conceded that the star may be too busy to with him.



Cardle told MUZU.TV: "A dream collaboration would be Chris Martin. I think he's an absolute genius and I would love to work with him.

"I know that he's a busy boy and in one of the biggest bands in the world, but if he has five minutes, half an hour or half a day sometime."

Talking about tomorrow night's (February 21) Brit Awards in London, Cardle insisted that his former X Factor contenders One Direction will walk home with a prize.

He added: "I think One Direction will get the 'Best Single' [award] because of their fans. I think they have an incredible following and they're so strong and loyal that anything they put their mind to, they can make it happen for the guys.

"I want to take my hat off to Savan Kotecha for writing 'What Makes You Beautiful', because that is like pop perfection. The first time you hear it you're like, 'Well that's a number one!' I love it and I think they're brilliant."

Matt Cardle's new single 'Amazing' is available to download now. The song has been released as part of a four-track EP.
