Meanwhile, her March 2000 Greatest Hits compilation currently sits at two on ITunes and five on both of Amazon's rankings.
It is preceded on the Amazon MP3 chart by The Essential Whitney Houston, released in the same year, at four.
In addition, the soundtrack to her 1992 film The Bodyguard - which features her iconic cover of 'I Will Always Love You' - is seventh on Amazon's list of bestselling CDs.
Houston is expected to dominate singles and album charts next week, with sales in the UK "already surging" according to the Official Charts Company.
The late singer's chart success comes as iTunes users accused Apple of "cashing in" on her death by increasing the cost of her back catalogue.

Such a tragedy. God gave her such a talent and it became destroyed by the ways of this world. We all have to take responsibility for our actions or lack of actions. Who we hang around, our support system has a huge influence who we become. Seems like Hollywood for as much as we glamourize has a dark, deadly side that pervades it strongly. Sadly Whitney Houston won't be the last. But how sad to lose such a talented person sowhen she had so much to give. Like one of her songs, "Didn't she all must have it all..."

Some people will have records and cassettes of her music since there are some songs from a very long time ago and that was their music platform for that generation and have now decided to update their collection so they can continue to play it for generations, just because someone downloads her songs now, doesn't mean there not a true fan

^^ They've done it before and they'll do it again. Sad, but it's the way the world works.

It makes you wonder how sick and greedy Apple can be by blatanty increasing the costs of the back catalogue just to line their own pockets. Didn't they do similar with Amy Winehouse last year ?
