The singer has now managed to shift over 12 million copies of the popular LP worldwide since its release last January.
21 managed to sell 245,000 units last week, taking it past the 12 million mark and making it the first album since 2002 to do so in just 10 months, reports Media Traffic.
The star recently confirmed plans to release 'Set Fire To The Rain' as the third official single in the US, which is expected to keep the album high in the charts throughout the festive period.
The new sales landmark for Adele backs analysts' previous predictions that 21 could sell over 13 million copies by Christmas.
21 recently became the first album to sell over a million digital copies in Europe through Apple's iTunes store.
The songstress will release her concert film Adele: Live At The Royal Albert Hall on November 29 as both a CD and DVD set.

I think this is a HUGE victory for singer-songwriters as it proves once and for all that there is a real hunger for real musicianship and real music in the pop charts. If record label execs had brains (which they don't) they would sign more acts like adele, and less of the flashy, OTT crap that Kesha et. al put out.
