The video for Britney Spears's latest single 'Criminal' has premiered online.Spears's real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick features in the promotional clip, which was directed by Chris Marrs Piliero, who was also in charge of her video for 'I Wanna Go'.
Starting at a formal reception, Trawick rescues Spears from a domineering and violent date (played by Freddy Bradshaw) who is seen slapping the singer, shouting at her for "disrespecting" him, and flirting with another woman.
The couple race away on Trawick's motorbike and are then seen robbing a convenience store at gunpoint and showering naked together, ahead of a final showdown with armed police.
Filmed in London, the video attracted controversy before its release. Local politicians criticised the singer when she was seen waving a replica gun during filming in an area affected by the summer riots.
The singer defended the video in a statement released by her management which read: "The video is a fantasy story featuring Britney's boyfriend Jason Trawick, which literally plays out the lyrics of a song written three years before the riots ever happened."
Spears is currently undertaking a world tour to promote latest album Femme Fatale. She will be joined by Joe Jonas during the European dates.

Normally some of these singers let us down when they tease us with new videos but she didn't let us down on this one, Great video its up there with Toxic and and a great track to finish off the album. She does make great pop music its not life changing but its great all the same.
