Cheryl Cole 'to release new single in early 2012'

Cheryl Cole will release her third solo album in the first six months of next year, it has been claimed.

The singer will reportedly release the follow-up to Messy Little Raindrops around the time of the Girls Aloud tenth anniversary reunion tour.

"Cheryl's actually been working on her new album since the very beginning of the year and the first single should be out early next year," a supposed source told Metro.

"She's loving the experience this time around because she has never really had the chance to spend a decent amount of time recording her albums as they've always been fitted around The X Factor.

"It's the first time she's been able to properly take her time exploring and teaming up with people. The full album should be ready to go out within the first six months of next year."



Cole earlier this week told fans on Twitter that she is "too frustrated with excitement for you to hear my new music".

The alleged insider added: "Cheryl's been having such a laugh in the studio. It's always been about the music for her. She's loving her new collaborations.

"[Producer] Alex [Da Kid] has worked on a lot of it and obviously will.i.am has had a big input producing it. She's never been far away from recording and has made sure she puts in time in the studio, whether it be in LA, New York or London."

It was claimed this week that Cole is considering a collaboration with teen pop superstar Justin Bieber for the album.

She is also said to be working with DJ David Guetta and musician Taio Cruz on the release.
