'Twilight' director Bill Condon reacts to Kristen Stewart scandal

Twilight director Bill Condon has spoken out about Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal.Condon, who directed Stewart and Robert Pattinson in both Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and the upcoming Part 2, suggested that the young couple deserve the same respect they have always afforded their fans.

His comments come in the wake of the revelation that Stewart cheated on real-life boyfriend Pattinson with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
"The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it's not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that," Condon told Entertainment Weekly.
"Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon.
"Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it's time that some of that respect be returned to them."
Summit Entertainment has stated that the scandal will not affect press for Breaking Dawn, which is the final instalment in the Twilight series.
Pattinson, meanwhile, will reportedly put no restrictions on what questions reporters can ask during his upcoming US press stint to promote Cosmopolis.

This is not the director she cheated with, that was the one from Snow White. The one telling everyone to give her some privacy is the director of the Twilight movies.
Maybe respect is not the word he should have used, privacy would have been a better request. Sure cheating is wrong, but the who, what, where, why and how are absolutely none of our business.
By the way, why is she getting all the grief? It is hardly like she drugged the guy, then forced him to start the affair!!! He was there, he made the decision to act on whatever feelings he had for a girl about half his age (and I honestly don't care if these feelings were love, lust, or something else) and cheat on his wife, risking a divorce and also riking his kids to suddenly lose the stability at home.
Obviously, both were in the wrong, but everyone is making it sound like it was just Kristen Stewert. NEWSFLASH!!!!!! It is not possible to have an affair all by yourself!
