"Okay. Let's finalise this. Matt Bomer is totally hot and a very good actor. He is NOT right for Christian Grey and it complicates the role," Ellis said on Twitter.
"Fifty Shades of Grey: Matt Bomer: I don't care how good an actor you are but being married to another man complicates things for playing CG.
"Fifty Shades of Grey: Matt Bomer is NOT about discrimination. It's about an intensely straight actor wanting absolutely to screw Ana Steele."
He continued: "Fifty Shades of Grey: the most popular book on the planet having Matt Bomer--a gay actor--play Christian Grey is absolutely ludicrous. Why?
"Jesus, the homophobia over Matt Bomer not being Christian Grey is so unsettling and aesthetically retarded. He's NOT right for Christian G.
"Okay I'll say it. Matt Bomer isn't right for Christian Grey because he is openly gay. He's great for other roles but this is too big a game."

Ellis added: "And I think if Matt Bomer wants the role which I doubt the international press tour will be an embarrassing fiasco. He's not CG. Never...
"I am NOT discriminating Matt Bomer because of his sexuality. Fifty Shades of Grey demands an actor that is genuinely into women. Get it?!?
"I actually think it's cool that women want Matt Bomer as Christian Grey. It means that we've moved beyond stereotypes and that gay is hot...
"I think Matt Bomer is incredibly handsome and a good actor but I think he comes off totally gay in White Collar. And that is why no to CG..."
He concluded: "Look, all actors are GAY: they put on make up and pretend to be someone else. That's just a fact. Rock and roll. Deal with it. Scientology?
"Would anyone watch Brokeback Mountain if it stayed true to the original story where both characters are hideously ugly? No. Homo beauty WIN?
"Hollywood is the most homophobic place in the entire world."
Ellis confirmed yesterday that despite expressing an interest in adapting EL James's bestseller, he has been removed from the list of screenwriters for the project.

Ellis is a sick sick man. I can't believe he'd keep insisting over and over and over again on Twitter about the same crap, is he so desperate for attention?
I've been following Matt's career since he started, and let me tell you, if Matt knows how to play a role, it's that of a womanizer, you can't say otherwise if you haven't seen him in action. That's part of his job, TO ACT.
If not, just ask Neil Patrick Harris if he's too gay to play a role, he's proved everybody wrong over and over again in "How I Met Your Mother".
I agree with many here though. That movie wouldn't do Matt's career any good, since I also think that book is a piece of crap, and I can only imagine how crappy the movie is gonna turn out. Another Twilight probably with all those crazy women comparing their husbands and boyfriends to a fictional character. Matt's just too cool for that.

I don't he should play the part as Christian as women all over want it to be real and being gay would take that away

I think it is a bad careerd move to play in two movies that use sex to sell the tickets.
I have not seen Magic Mike, but intend to do so, and I have not read the book, but due to all the publicity, I know what it's about. Many people won't watch (or really enjoy) either movie, yet link the actor to the erm, main subject. Really, if people start associating him with all of that, how is he going to get a serious part ever?
That is why he should not get this role, I was not even aware he was gay, then again, I hardly read tabloids and don't like him enough to go and google him, so why would I know that and why would we care? As long as he is a good actor (and I think he is), he should be able to convince us that he wants to sleep with this girl just fine. If he's not, well then his sexuality is not the problem here. Then he could only play the part if he actually wanted to bang the actress. That would exlude many straight actors as well, as I doubt every straight man will automaticlly want to screw any girl he sees, no matter what the stereotype says about that ;P

After watching Matt Bomer in Magic Mike I'd say he would be qualified, he played a straight guy perfectly!
