Avatar 2 is reportedly unlikely to be released before 2015.According to a New York Times profile of director James Cameron, the 2014 release date previously given for the sequel is now looking optimistic.
The first of two planned sequels will apparently not be ready until 2015 or later, which would put its release six years after that of 2009's Avatar.
Cameron is said to have purchased 2,500 acres of farmland in the Lake Pounui area of New Zealand, and to be planning to relocate there for at least half a year during production on Avatar 2 and 3.
It was reported last month that three sequels to Avatar will be shot simultaneously.
Returning star Sam Worthington has praised the plot of the first sequel, dubbing it "monumental".
Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver are also set to reprise their roles in Cameron's sequels.

I don't think it will do any where near as much at the box office as the first. 3D is common business now and Avatar was only special because it was new and people had never seen such good 3D.

Bloody hell, this gets delayed by one year every 5 minutes.
