Jackie Earle Haley, Jay Baruchel lined up for 'Robocop' remake

Jackie Earle Haley is being lined up to play a key role in Jose Padilha's Robocop remake.Jay Baruchel, best known for his roles in comedies Goon and Knocked Up, is also rumoured to be close to signing on to appear in the upcoming film.

SlashFilm reports that the Watchmen and Nightmare on Elm Street star has been cast as Maddox, a character who gives Robocop his military training.
Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) is confirmed to play the title character, with Gary Oldman as the scientist who creates him and Samuel L Jackson as a media mogul.
Hugh Laurie is also in negotiations to play the villainous role of the head of OmniCorp, the corporation that funds Robocop.
The film is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting within a few months, aiming for a summer 2013 release date.

sum great names signing up this will no doubt be the best robocop movie since 1987 original and even if not as good as that it will be great compared to part 2 and the rubbish part 3
