'The Dark Knight Rises' world premiere - pictures

The Dark Knight Rises held its world premiere at New York's AMC Lincoln Square Theatre last night (July 16).Stars Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Juno Temple attended the black carpet event for the movie which brings to a close director Christopher Nolan's tenure on the Batman franchise.
Hailee Steinfeld, Penn Badgley, Zoe Kravitz and Ron Howard were among the other celebrity guests in line to see the blockbuster, which opens in cinemas on July 20.
