'Man of Steel' trailer: Henry Cavill's Superman takes flight - video

Man of Steel has premiered its first trailer online.British actor Henry Cavill (Immortals) takes on the lead role as the hero rocketed to Earth from the dying planet Krypton. Zack Snyder is directing the Superman franchise reboot, with Dark Knight Rises helmer Christopher Nolan serving as a producer.

The supporting cast for the blockbuster features Amy Adams as Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Superman birth father Jor-El and Michael Shannon as villain General Zod.
Speaking to Digital Spy earlier this week, Nolan said of the new Superman: "I don't want to say too much about it because they're at the beginning of their process in terms of post-production. I think what Zack and Henry are doing is going to make a remarkable impression."
DC Comics' flagship hero was previously portrayed on the big screen by Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh in 2006's Superman Returns.
It was recently announced that Man of Steel will be post-converted to 3D and released in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D cinemas on June 14, 2013.

I saw this trailer before Rises came on, on Friday. It's not great but not poor either. But then it is just a teaser, and teasers are rarely great. The ending of the trailer was cool. I just hope the film isn't full of slow motion! Zack Snyder loves his slo mo. And the movie surely has to be better than Returns. And yes, there was only around 15 mins of Batman in a nearly 3 hour film. pffft.

This is a Beautiful looking TEASER and that's all it is BUT PLEASE if you can find it you need to check out the full trailer that was shown at Comic Con OMG its AMAZING. Oh and also saying Batman is in it for like 15 mins isn't really a spoiler it is very much a Bruce Wayne story line.
