Athough I loved the split for Potter... (not that they did it very well... they still excluded loads so the first part dragged a little, while the second could've been longer) I don't think it'll work here, I don't think there's enough story for 2 films :S

Of course they split it. More money to be squeezed out of the franchise. Worked for HP and Twilight.

Don't know why there's a big fuss over this right now, anyone with intuition knew that this was to be the case when it was announced that the main cast had been contracted for FOUR films, ages ago.

Didn't one of the actors say even before the film came out that he had signed on for 4 films... I think it was Woody. Anyway this will probably be awful, Mockingjay is the worst book... and spoilers follow.....
In terms of splitting them up, people seem to think it will be around when Peeta is rescued ect. But if that's the case Part 1 will have hardly any Josh Hutcherson in it at all. So I'm hoping if that's the case they will add more scenes into the film from Peeta's POV.
