Oz: The Great and Powerful has released its first teaser poster. The fantasy adventure, Raimi's first movie since 2009's horror Drag Me to Hell, is an origin story about L Frank Baum's character the Wizard of Oz.

James Franco takes on the lead role as Oscar Diggs, a circus magician who's transported from Kansas to the Land of Oz. Upon arrival he meets three witches - Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams) - who doubt that he's a great wizard in waiting.
Oz's supporting cast includes Abigail Spencer, Zach Braff and Joey King.
Kunis shed light on the project earlier this year, saying that her witch Theodora will be "incredibly scary".
"It was a phenomenal cast," she said of her co-stars. "So if you're ever going to take on a risk, you couldn't ask for a better group of people to do it with."
The movie will be released in cinemas on March 8, 2013.

This sounds promising.

I usually love anything where Raimi is at the helm, so am really looking forward to seeing this.

Are the Spider-man films really how we should be remembering Sam Raimi. He did do a lot of good stuff after all.

Spider-man 2 is only topped by The Dark Knight in terms of comic book movies, shut up.

The first two Spider-man films were pretty damn good. If you think otherwise you are wrong.

If someone thinks otherwise they are not wrong and neither are you right. It's merely a difference of opinion. I personally think that Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man film was ruined by having the villain coming straight out of an episode of Power Rangers. You could argue that Kick-Ass, 300, Sin City, Road to Perdition, A History of Violence, The Avengers, The Crow, Watchmen, etc.. are all better comic book movies.

Agree. The 3rd was completely ruined by Sony. Rami only wanted 1 villain.
