Lucy Hale eyes 'Fifty Shades' role: 'I'm ready for something risky'

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale has hinted that she would be interested in a role in the Fifty Shades of Grey films.

Speaking to MTV News, the 23-year-old actress said that she is keen to "do something a little more risky" when it comes to her career.















"I definitely am ready to take a step and do something a bit more risky... but it's a fine line," she said.

"I don't know what that fine line is, but I'm definitely ready to explore a darker side of my acting abilities."

Hale also revealed that she is a fan of the novels and that she is aware people have been connecting her name to the project.

"I'm on Fifty Shades Darker. I get flustered even talking about it, so yeah, I'm on that train," she said.

"People have said that [I could play the lead role] but people have also said [I could play] the little sister, which I think could make sense, because I look a little young for Ana."

She added: "I'm really curious to see how it's all going to [play out]. But God, what a big role to take on."

Hale previously described the possibility of starring in the Fifty Shades films as "frigging awesome". She is also planning to release a country album next year, after signing with Hollywood Records.
